IBERCERAS OBTAINS THE CERTIFICATION FSSC ISO 22000

In November 2018, after having obtained the FSSC ISO 22000 certificate, for the manufacture of solid food waxes: Paraffins, microcrystalline waxes and their combinations with polymeric materials, Category K. ,a stage of intense work and development in the field of food safety has ended for Iberceras.

The beginning of this process is the growing concern of our customers in the food sector to offer their customers safer products from the point of view of food safety. Iberceras, not insensible to these requirements, is facing this challenge and proposes the objective of implementing a Food Safety Management System under one of the most recognized standards today: FSSC ISO 22000.

As a fundamental part of this objective, during the last semester of 2017, Iberceras undertook the renovation of the facility dedicated to this production and established the necessary procedures and controls for the assurance of food safety.

Thanks to the extensive experience acquired in management systems and compliance with regulatory requirements given by the Quality Management System and the undeniable implication of the management and staff of Iberceras in this project, in September 2018 the food safety management system implemented was audited by one of the leading Certification Companies in food certifications: DNV, and as a result of this evaluation, the FSSC ISO-22000 certificate for the manufacture of Solid Food Waxes was granted to Iberceras.

With this certificate, Iberceras provides its customers in the food sector with the confidence that the products are made following compliance with the requirements of one of the food safety standards most recognized by users, which adds extra value and a  guarantee of security to the products that Iberceras formulates for the food industry.
